Salary: £18,000 – £20,000 per annum

Location: Guildford, Surrey

We are a leading Enterprise Asset Management Software supplier. We offer a wide range of asset management software for all areas of asset management and facility management. Our modules range from equipment and asset registers, asset inspection to maintenance management and workforce management.

The Role:

Proactively support the business on a day to day basis and contributing to the future success of the business. The role will report into the Business Development Director and will also support other Senior Managers on projects within the business. The person must work closely with other departments, such as the Development Team and Quality Assurance, to help achieve business objectives.

The Systems Assistant is a key role within a busy Support Team. It consists of 2 parts:

  • Client Support
  • System Configuration

Client Support:

The client support role includes answering emails and telephone enquiries about issues from customers. Issues / bugs need resolving quickly and effectively or escalating internally. Client support is managed using service level agreements.

System Configuration;

The person will also configure systems that underpins Pole Star. Pole Star is based on a configurable system and certain clients require configuration to be completed internally. Configuration includes building mobile applications and web pages.

Aptitude:

Client Support (Phone/email):

  • Log support calls
  • Resolve customer login issues
  • Support customer processes
  • Support custom solutions
  • Onsite support (Occasional)
  • Update/create knowledge base
  • Create and publish documentation on word press and paper
  • Providing client training where appropriate

Client Solution Configuration:

  • Join managers at design meetings
  • Design and document the processes
  • Configure solutions
  • Write the specification document
  • Verify solutions

Client Data Manipulation:

  • Carry out Data Manipulation
  • Carry out Data Cleaning and Mapping
  • Carry out Data Import

Client Adoption of Products and Systems:

  • Write user guides
  • Customer Training (face to face and telephone training)
  • Producing Usage Reports

Required Skills:

  • 3 Years’ experience in a similar role within a support team
  • 3 years’ relevant experience directly related to the responsibilities of this role
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Appropriate degree or HND in IT or business-related subject
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills; good interpersonal skills

Optional Skills:

  • Experience of using SQL
  • A driving licence would be helpful but not essential

We are a leading Enterprise Asset Management Software supplier, looking for a skilled java developer to join our expanding team as the company grows.

Reporting to our Softare Development Team Manager, you will be a smart forward thinker with a real passion for development. The day to day role will involve development, support, maintenance and implementation of software modules.

You will work with our existing development team, joining an established company looking to continue its growth and further reinforce its position as a market leader in its sector.

You will be involved in building and creating component solutions and data services from the requirements stage through to deployment. You must be self-motivated, innovative, thinks outside the box, have excellent communication skills and work with stakeholders from the business and technology with ease.

Responsibilities

  • Write reusable code and libraries
  • Write backend Java code
  • Integrate backend code with frontend
  • Problem solve and fix bugs
  • Integrate third party and internal APIs
  • Data import and export functionality
  • Write user-facing features
  • Support maintenance and testing of modules and components
